Woohoo, it's free shipping time again on American Girl! This time the minimum amount is just $50, so now is definitely the time to buy. Here's the key code:

  • valid through 4/1/12 at 11:59 p.m. CT
  • applies to standard shipping and processing charges to first US address only
  • excludes: Doll Hospital and ear piercing services, American Girl magazine subscriptions, Day at American Girl Place packages, gift cards, gift wrapping, sales tax, purchases and shipments from American Girl retail stores.

Shop Sam's Club for the Holidays

How's that holiday shopping going? What? Didn't want to brave the crowds in the stores? I don't blame you! We spent all of Black Friday and the Thanksgiving weekend painting the insides of our kitchen cabinets, so we missed out on all the great deals..... or did we? Thank goodness for Cyber Monday! If you're like me and you don't feel like braving the Black Friday crowds, Cyber Monday is a godsend.

Except, of course, I missed Cyber Monday too. Oh, drat!

Are you a procrastinator like me? Never fear! Sam's Club still has incredible deals, because their Cyber Monday is actually Cyber Week -- their deals last all week! You still have 2 more days (until Friday, December 2) to take advantage of their exclusive savings. Here are some of the deals they've got going:
  • Serta Mattress Set (King or Queen) & Cuisinart K-Cup Brewing System
  • Diamond Heart Pendant with ½ Carat Diamond - $299
  • Kobe Beef of Texas 14oz Strip Steaks (6-pack) - $132.46
  • Skylanders with Exclusive Drill Sergeant Character Pack
  • eZip TrailZ Electric Bike
  • 14’ Round Trampoline
  • Magnavox 32” LCD 720p HDTV - $248.88, including free shipping
  • Canon T2i Digital SLR Bundle - $849, including free shipping
  • Vizio 37” LED 1080p HDTV - $498, including free shipping
  • Asus i5 Notebook - $479, including free shipping
  • Dell Berry 4GB/640GB with AMD Processor and 15.6” screen in choice of Pink, Red, Blue or Black - $429, including free shipping
No doubt you've noticed the magic words, free shipping, on those last five items -- yes, it's true, Sam's Club is also offering free shipping on select items for Cyber Week. Even for those items that shipping isn't free, you still only pay an incredibly low rate -- I just bought a Mario Kart Wii game and 2 Mari Kart Wii wheels from Sam's Club, and I only had to pay $2.50 shipping! Even better, if you live near a Sam's Club, you can take advantage of their fabulous Click 'n' Pull service and pick your order up! Just submit your order online before 5 p.m., and they'll gather your items together and have them ready for you to pick up at your local Sam's Club the next day.

With great deals, free or inexpensive shipping, and Click 'n' Pull, Sam's Club makes it so easy for people to stay home and "cybernate" while shopping from home! You can go to SamsClub.com -- and with the introduction of their new Sam's Club iPad app and mobile apps for the iPhone and Android, it's easier than ever.

Last week I attended a Sam's Club blogger webinar where we were given a demo of the iPad app. You can shop for products available both in-Club and online, and checkout with a single tap to save time. You can use it to create a shopping list that syncs with the Sam's Club app on your phone, so you'll have it with you when you're in the store. You can use it to find recipes using Sam's Club food brands. You can even use it to find out which food companies are sampling items at your local Sam's Club -- yum yum! I downloaded the phone app to my Android phone, and just like the iPad app, it's really easy to use.

Visit SamsClub.com/holiday or download the Sam's Club mobile application to your iPad®, iPhone®, Android or BlackBerry. And don't forget, Sam's Club members can sign up for the Sam's Club daily “Holiday Value of the Day”—now through Dec. 24, 2011—to receive online exclusives, gifts with free shipping and instant savings.

Happy Holiday shopping!

Disclosure: I was compensated for attending the webinar and for writing this post via a Sam's Club gift card. The views and opinions expressed here are my own.

Free Shipping at American Girl for the Holidays!

Yay, it's Free Shipping time again at American Girl! Use the code FREESHIP11 to get free shipping on your purchase of $100 or more at the American Girl online store, until November 22. It's usually $13.95 to ship purchases of $100-$125 (and shipping costs go up as your purchase totals increase), so that's at least $14 savings to put back into your pocket (or use to get more stuff from American Girl!).

Can't figure out what to get your little American Girl? Check out their online Gift Guide, or see my suggestions on my American Girl Gift Guide post. And here are a few more options to consider:

Get something for her doll that matches her own interests
The Pea is making good progress with her flute lessons, and I think this cute doll's flute set would inspire her even more. American Girl also sells a guitar, cello, violin, and piano set. If your daughter isn't into music, don't worry: American Girl has doll outfits for almost any hobby girls love: skating, gymnastics, tennis, ballet, cheerleading, horse riding, skateboarding, yoga, soccer, basketball, skiing and more. There are even little baking sets for the dolls of future Martha Stewarts, and school backpack sets for the dolls of young bookworms!

Celebrate 25 years of American Girl
Can you believe American Girl is on their 25th anniversary? That means a whole generation of girls has grown up with them! To celebrate the occasion, American Girl has released 25th Birthday Collectible editions of all their historical dolls, including the dolls that have been retired, like Samantha and Felicity. Unlike the regular mini dolls, these mini dolls are all dressed in their holiday outfits -- and they're only available until December 31, or until supplies last. This is a great gift idea for an older girl who grew up with American Girls.

Give your child's holidays a tropical flair
Speaking of limited edition, don't forget that the Girl of the Year for 2011, Kanani, is only available until December 31 as well. She's got a fabulous collection of clothing and accessories (The Pea is wild for Kanani's Aloha Outfit and Shave Ice Stand) that will also go away when the year ends. I really liked having Kanani as the Girl of the Year because I did feel that this line was lacking some ethnic diversity, and Kanani, like many Hawaiians, is just a beautiful melting pot of colors and cultures, and girls could learn so much from her.

Free Shipping on Yummie Tummie

Have you visited the Yummie Tummie online store lately? They have some great new clothing styles, including the Lucie, Mayumi and Roz tops --all of which I would LOVE to try! -- as well as some great new bottom underthings that smooth you out under your new spring dresses but don't add bulk. Yummie Tummie sent me a Cheekie Brief, which unfortunately is not being sold on their site right now, but the Christina Boyshort is a good alternative (the Cheekie Brief looks just like it but rides a bit lower, on the hipbones instead of just under the bellybutton). It's made of a microfiber fabric that feels amazing against your skin and doesn't cause any pantylines, but gives nice gentle support. If you want something a bit lacier and more romantic (with the same yummie holding powers!), try the Camie Pantie, which I reviewed in February.

And here's more great news: Yummie Tummie is offering free shipping on all their products, with no minimum purchase! There's no code to enter, the free shipping will show up at check-out. I searched their website and couldn't find an expiration date for this promotion, so hurry and order your Yummies!

Disclosure:I received a product sample to facilitate my review, but have not been paid to review the product or give my opinions. The views and opinions expressed here are my own.

Tiny Prints Holiday Cards

Our first holiday card came in the mail last week, and I wasn't surprised when I turned it over and saw the Tiny Prints logo on the back. Tiny Prints is my favorite online stationery store, and I have nothing but praises to sing for their whimsical designs, easy-to-use online store, convenient features and high-quality cards.

Last month I was invited to the Tiny Prints corporate headquarters, along with other Bay Area bloggers, for a behind-the-scenes tour and a sneak peek at their latest holiday cards. They don't do printing at this location -- actually they do have a small printing room out back, but it's mostly for test runs and super-secret orders from celebrities (I tried, but I couldn't find William and Kate's wedding invites) -- but we got to see some of the creative geniuses behind the Tiny Prints designs (not all, Tiny Prints has designers from all over the country) and we saw their customer service team in action, painstakingly reviewing each and every order. Good thing, too; apparently 25% of all orders have some kind of typo or other error that needs to be corrected!

Over a scrumptious lunch, the Tiny Prints people talked about some of the latest trends in holiday cards (shaped cards, black and white designs, non-rectangular photo frames) and introduced us to their latest and greatest holiday card designs. They've got some really unique cards this year!

I love their ornament cards so much I wish I could trim my tree with nothing but these little gems. Of course, I'll have to inform my friends and family that I'm not accepting any other holiday card except a Tiny Prints holiday card, but what the heck, they love me and I'm sure they want my holiday tree to look beautiful.

What? Not a good idea? Fine, I'll be nice. I'll "settle" for these great tri-fold accordion cards, which have lots of room for photos and text (I happen to loooove holiday newsletters, so send those over!), or these ingenious flipping cards with photos on both sides. Pardon the pun, but they're flipping adorable! It's not too late to order your holiday cards with Tiny Prints, and if you do it before midnight tomorrow (December 7), you can get up to $50 off plus free 3-day shipping with code TPHOL50. Or you could try your luck and enter to win 50 free Tiny Prints holiday cards on my friend Kimberly's blog. Either way you'll end up with gorgeous holiday cards that are sure to end up on front-and-center display at all your friend's homes.

For more photos of the Tiny Prints Holiday blogger event, visit my friend Rick's Flickr page.

Disclosure: Tiny Prints treated me to lunch, a tour of their corporate headquarters and a set of personalized notecards. The views and opinions expressed here are my own.

Black Friday Deals on Cardstore.com

It's not even Black Friday yet, and the sales have already begun! I received an email today with a great offer from Cardstore.com -- free shipping and 20% off with the code CYBERSALE. This is your chance to get your holiday cards done and save a little cash at the same time. The holiday cards I ordered from Cardstore.com arrived a few weeks ago and they are gorgeous. You can see what they look like on my recent Cardstore.com giveaway post -- but photos can't convey the nice, thick card stock, the vibrant colors and the crisp, clean font printing. Hurry up and order before Black Friday comes and goes!

American Girl Free Shipping for Thanksgiving

It's that time of the year again! No, not the holidays, something even better (or something that's going to make the holidays even better). It's the time of year when you can find Free Shipping codes for American Girl! If you stalk the American Girl website like I do, you'll know these codes are few and far between. In fact, this one isn't even on their website; I found it on Classy Mommy's blog. If you're thinking of getting your little girl anything from American Girl for the holidays, this coupon is a great way to save some money -- and given the prices on American Girl, you'll welcome any little savings you get!

Get free shipping on all orders of $100 by entering coupon code

SHIP112310

in the box marked “key code” in your shopping bag or at checkout. Free shipping will appear at checkout. Your purchase total must equal or exceed the minimum order requirement to qualify. The code is valid until November 23rd, 2010.

Seeing this free shipping code reminded me that it has been a while since I've posted any American Girl activity pages on this blog. I have a few great activity sheets that I downloaded from the McDonald's Happy Meal website last year when they ran their American Girl Happy Meal promo, so I'll be posting them on Bonggamom Finds just in time for the holidays.

Here's a preview of one of the sheets: a cut-out Rebecca paper doll, complete with her red herringbone dress outfit and her striped Hannukah dress outfit.

You can click on the image above to access the JPEG file and download it if you want -- or you can wait for my next post and download the whole Rebecca Paper Doll packet (in PDF format, complete with instructions and printable backgrounds) from my Scribd page.

Disclosure and Disclaimer: I did not receive a sample or monetary compensation for this post. I am not responsible for the accuracy of information regarding free shipping, and I encourage anyone who plans to use it to verify for themselves that the code actually does remove shipping charges from their order. Today is Free Shipping Day!

Today is the last day to order online and get your presents delivered in time for Christmas! Fortunately (and maybe not so coincidentally) today is also Free Shipping Day, when over 700 merchants try to convince you to buy stuff from them by dangling the shiny carrot of free shipping in your face. Not that I'm complaining -- I'm a sucker for free shipping so if you have some last minute holiday shopping to do, it's a Godsend! In fact, I did a quick run-through of some of the products and sites I've blogged about this year, and found several that are offering Free Shipping today (note: I'm assuming this promo is only good for today, and there may be some restrictions and exclusions so you'll have to check the site out yourself):

* Tiny Prints

* Bella Sara

* ToysAndGamesOnline.com and other CSN Stores

I'll keep updating this post if I see any other free shipping deals for today. Happy procrastination shopping!

Ultimate Blog Party, Ultimate Giveaways!

Ultimate Blog Party 2009

It's that time of year again.... Janice and Susan from 5 Minutes for Mom are hosting the mom blogging event of the year, the Ultimate Blog Party 2009! It runs all week, from March 20-27 all over: the blogosphere, Facebook, Twitter (use hashtag #ubp09), and three Real Live Parties in NY, LA and Nashville. Last year there were over 1,500 blogs on the Mr. Linky, so it's a great way to discover some great blogs and get your own blog noticed. I'm so excited to be partying with all the great mombloggers this week (click here to read my party post)!

Oh, did I mention prizes? Yes, there are prizes to be won! There are sooo many prizes -- over 275 at this point -- that you're sure to find at least a dozen that you really, REEEELLY want. However, Do Not, I repeat, DO NOT indicate any interest in the following 3 prizes:

1) A pair of ChicBud earphones with Swarovski crystals, courtesy of The IE Mommy (#15);

2) A $50 gift certificate for Paperlicious products, courtesy of Paperlicious (#50);

3) A custom blog makeover from Southern Girl Blog Design, courtesy of Southern Girl Blog Design (#INT33).

Not that they're my top 3 favorite Ultimate Blog Party prizes or anything, oh no. These prizes actually suck big time and it's not like I want to win them or anything (pleasepleaseplease God let me win them....). Why would you even look at those prizes when you have so many other great prizes, like these:

* A $50 Target gift certificate -- I counted three! (#19, 21, 22)
* A $30 Target gift certificate (#26)
* A $30 Amazon gift certificate (#61)
* A $25 Target gift certificate (#91, #USC56)
* A $25 Amazon gift certificate (#USC47)
* A $25 Old Navy gift certificate (#118)
* A $25 Amazon gift certificate (#USC15)
* More chic blog makeovers (#INT23, #INT28, #INT35, #INT36)
* A Big Combo Pack of Mabels Labels (#USC10)
* Mommy Cards (#INT65, #USC63)

Uh, on second thought, Do Not, I repeat, DO NOT indicate any interest in those prizes either (I wantwantwantwantwant 'em!). Why don't you enter to win this cool prize instead? Today, to celebrate the Ultimate Blog Party, I'm giving away a family game that you can play with your cat: it's called CatFeats , and it's a fun way to discover what motivates Kitty to perform (retail value $19.99).

To enter, just leave a comment on this post with your email address, introduce yourself, leave a link to your own blog so I can go over and comment on your blog-- after all, the Ultimate Blog Party is all about finding new blogs and new bloggy friends, right?

For extra entries, you can do any or all of the following:
1) Comment on my Ultimate Blog Post on Finding Bonggamom (leave a comment here saying you commented over there).
2) Follow Bonggamom(bonggamom)on Twitter (leave a comment with your twitter id).
3) Follow Bonggamom Finds (bonggafinds) on Twitter (leave a comment with your twitter id).
4) Follow Bonggamom Finds on Blogger (leave a comment with your Blogger profile name).
5) Tweet about this giveaway (leave a commment with a link to your tweet).

Good luck to everyone and party on!

Magazine Photo Covers from YourCover.com

My parents are big on photos. Every square inch of their home is adorned with frames: family photos, photos of us (the kids) as kids and as grownups, and now, of course, photos of the grandkids. Getting them presents for Christmas is pretty easy -- just stick a photo on it and they'll like it. So along with the frames, they have a ton of photo calendars, mugs, mouse pads, shirts, posters. They love it all, but my mom does end up with a ton of one-of-a-kind photo mugs.

Their 40th wedding anniversary is coming up next year and I decided to get them something more out-of-the-ordinary, something they'll want to display at the big anniversary bash they're planning for family and friends. So I went to YourCover.com and got them a personalized magazine photo cover.

The folks at YourCover.com graciously allowed me to try out their Magazine Cover product, and I'm very happy with the result. You just upload a photo to their website, choose the occasion (anniversary, birthday, graduation, mother's day, ) and the magazine layout is automatically created for you -- no need to fiddle with Photoshop, or God forbid, Microsoft Paint. If you're not feeling witty or schmaltzy enough to compose your own messages, you can use their suggested text and customize it for the people you're featuring on the cover.

The nice thing is, the products come in all price ranges. If you want to print it out yourself, you pay $15 for the JPEG image download. If you just want the front cover to hang in a study or den, you can have them send it to you in a nice wooden frame for $45 (shipping included). Or you can go the whole hog and get a front and back cover (the back cover features customizable messages and a smaller photo) in a clear plastic standalone frame for $55. They also do centerpieces and invitations so you can create themed party decor centered around your chosen photo.
