I am being compensated (via product) for this post
The holidays are almost here, and it's time to start working on your family holiday cards! This year I'm looking at holiday cards from Shutterfly, and they have so many cute designs, it might take me till Dec. 25 to decide on the final design! Here are my final candidates:
The Colors of Christmas tri-fold card stands up on its own, both literally and figuratively, so it's guaranteed a special spot on your family and friends' mantelpieces! I love that you can add so many photos as well as enough text for a family newsletter.
The To Be Jolly square card is so chic, it might even work as a giant holiday gift tag! Just punch a hole in one corner and thread with a colorful ribbon or string. It's a flat card, not a folded card, but fortunately Shutterfly lets you customize the front and the back, so you don't waste an inch of space.
Vintage holiday cards are all the rage, and I love the cheerful fonts and flourishes on Shutterfly's Vintage Holiday design. The rounded corners give it a fresh, updated look that keeps the card from looking too out-of-date.
In case it does take you until December 25 to choose your card designs, don't worry! Shutterfly has lots of New Year's cards to send family and friends your best wishes for 2014. This Sparkle and Shine design has all the color and cheer you'd expect for such a happy occasion.
I'm a sucker for full-bleed photos and overlays, so this Joy and Family design is currently my top contender. The photo of my kids is front and center, and the focus is on their beautiful faces. It's simple but beautiful and meaningful, and I couldn't ask for anything more. What's more, I even found a photo magnet in a matching design, so I can include it along with the card in a holiday package to send to my family overseas. My mom loves photo gifts, so I might even throw in a mug or a mouse pad!
What do you think? Which card design should I choose? For that matter, which card design would you choose? Share your favorite, and you could win a $50 Shutterfly gift card below! You could also win more great Shutterfly prizes at the upcoming #PhotosYouLove Twitter Party on November 15 at 8 PM ET, hosted by Shutterfly and @ResourcefulMom.
