Introducing YoGreek and new flavors of Voskos Greek Yogurt
Monday, November 14, 2011
Thanksgiving is approaching, and so is that sinfully delicious turkey dinner, with the smooth, creamy butternut squash soup, smooth, creamy mashed potatoes, and smooth, creamy pumpkin pie. If you plan to let go and stuff yourself tighter than the turkey, it's important to make it a one-day event, and eat healthier foods before and after. Fortunately, you don't have to give up anything smooth and creamy, even when you're eating healthy, because there's greek yogurt, one of my favorite foods. I could eat the plain variety, with a drizzle of honey, every day -- but for those of you who want the health and the taste but with more variety, there's Voskos Greek Yogurt. They have tons of yummy flavors -- honey, vanilla, strawberry, exotic fig -- and now they have two new flavors, apricot mango and peach. They've even launched a new product line called YoCrunch, which has granola on the side! Voskos sent me samples of their latest products and let me tell you, with so much variety, it's not going to be too difficult to give up that fourth helping of pumpkin pie on Black Friday.
The Basics
About Voskos Greek Yogurt:
Adapting a centuries old Greek style straining process, Voskos Greek Yogurt was the first Greek yogurt to be made in and sold nationally in the United States. Voskos Greek Yogurt is high in protein, and naturally low in carbohydrates and calories. Even our non-fat Greek yogurts are naturally creamy, smooth and thick!
About YoGreek:
The makers of award-winning Voskos Greek Yogurt introduce YoGreek, the first tasty and healthy meal you can take with you anywhere. YoGreek combines creamy non-fat, high-protein Greek yogurt and crunchy hi-fiber granola. It is great for body-building, body shaping, weight control, and overall health. It is a quick and easy meal that is good tasting and good for you.
The Bongga
Can you say yummy? I'm so happy that there are sooo many ways to enjoy Greek yogurt! I will always be loyal to the plain variety with honey, but YoGreek comes very close to toppling that variety off my first-place pedestal. The granola is really good, always crunchy and not too sweet. It complements the yogurt perfectly!
The Blah
I still get that fuzzy feeling on my tongue when I eat the yogurt, just like I did the first time I tried Voskos, but I'm getting used to it -- so really, my only complaint about Voskos and YoGreek is that they are so difficult to find.
The Bottom Line
Voskos Greek yogurt is so sinfully rich and creamy, it's difficult to believe it's healthy food! Once you've tried it, you'll never go back to regular yogurt!
