Friends with Kids opens March 9

We are Rolling Stone Magazine subscribers, I whenever an issue arrives, I read it from cover to cover. I'm not the biggest music fan in the world, but I love their uniquely perceptive, daring articles, and I've discovered many great musical artists, books and movies from reading their reviews. When one of their movie reviews rates 3 stars or higher (out of 4), so when I saw a 3 1/2 starred review in their latest issue, I took notice.

The movie that got 3.5 stars was Friends With Kids, a comedy about couples and kids and how mixing the two up changes your life. I think it's must-see, not only because it stars the madly dashing, suave, could-give-James-Bond-a-run-for-his-money Mad Men star Hon Hamm. This movie looks like it's going to feature all the stereotypes that parents with kids don't want to admit are stereotypes but actually are (i.e. childless couples who can't stand kids have kids of their own and move from Manhattan to Brooklyn -- and make them okay with it. Rolling Stone calls it a "darkly perceptive comedy", so it's not going to be all sweetness and light -- and I'm actually wondering whether the central couple, who decide to have a baby together but date other people, will end up together as you'd expect from a romantic comedy, or whether we're going to get a more bittersweet, surprise ending. There's only 1 way to find out....

About the movie:
Friends With Kids is a daring and poignant ensemble comedy about a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends' relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together - and date other people.

Friends with Kids opens in theatres on March 9.
