I know, I know, it's Father's Day, and far be it for me to steal their thunder, but this is important. I very recently had a breast cancer scare -- two lumps on my breast that thankfully, turned out to be normal -- and my first reaction to the possibility that I might have the disease was, How is this going to affect my kids?. Moms with breast cancer are moms first, and their courage in the face of this disease is a thing of awe. That's why I wanted to spread the word that Bright Starts has begun their search for their 2011 Pink Power Moms.
