Does your child love Plants vs. Zombies? Does your child love building with K'NEX? Now he or she can enjoy both at the same time! This June, K'NEX introduced a set of officially licensed building sets inspired by the popular Plants vs. Zombies game. Now kids can recreate the Plants vs. Zombies world in K'NEX, and set up all kinds of adventures where their favorite plants defend against the brain-eating zombies!
We have been huge K'NEX fans for many, many years. I've always said you can never have too many K'NEX sets -- K'NEX grows with kids in size (the more pieces you have, the bigger and better things you can build!) and in age (you can build ever more complex, sophisticated projects), so every K'NEX set we've ever bought or reviewed is a welcome addition to our collection. My kids love Plants vs. Zombies, so adding Plants vs. Zombies building sets make K'NEX building time even more fun! We were given a Cone Mech Building Set to review, which is a great starter set for young PVZ fans. It only has 114 pieces and it's very easy to build. Most of the parts are basic K'NEX pieces, so if you lose any, you can replace them with an identical from your existing K'NEX collection!
You'll end up with an awesome zombie cone that can move backwards and forwards, thanks to the simple motor that's included in the set. The set also comes with one zombie -- it gets kind of tricky to secure him to the inside of the cone, but once he's in the cone, he gets to knock down sunflowers and peashooters (K'NEX sells more PVZ character figurines, or you can gather your own little plastic knick-knacks for the cone to knock down) in his quest to eat your brains out! I think this set is adorable and a must-have for any PVZ fan.
