Social Media All-Stars Show Their DisneySide at Disneyland Park

Everyone has a serious side.  A fun side.  A responsible side.  A wild side.  And everyone has a Disney side! You know which side I'm talking about.  It's the side that wants to wear a Cinderella costume at Halloween.  The side that thinks pancakes taste better when they're shaped like Mickey Mouse.  The side that makes your heart quicken when you step into The Happiest Place on Earth. That's the side I'm showing in my photos above!  And that's the side that Disney wants everyone to share in their new social media campaign, #DisneySide.

To celebrate the DisneySide in all of us, Disney Parks invited twenty-four of the hottest names in social media -- including YouTube sensations Tiffany Alvord and Mike Tompkins, Pinterest stars Handmade Charlotte and Erin Loechner, popular Instagrammer Trotter Pup, and Vine virtuosos Rob Johnston and Ian Padgham, to name a few -- to show their DisneySide via a video, photo, or other internet meme. They are truly the All-Stars of Social Media: collectively, their work has been viewed more than 2 billion times, and they have 30 million fans between them! These Social Media All-Stars debuted their creations yesterday at Disneyland Park.... and I was there to witness the premiere showing!  Here are some of my favorites:

Reality Changers has almost half a million subscribers on YouTube!  This father-daughter duo has received over 26 million views from just one of their videos, and they have performed on the Ellen Degeneres show and America's Got Talent.

Tiffany Alvord has over 1.6 million YouTube subscribers and more than 340 million video views.  Performing for the crowd at Fantasyland Theatre was no problem for her, because she has sange on New Year's Eve in Times Square!

Here's how Tiffany showed her Disney Side:

I love a capella artists, and Mike Tompkins is one of the best.  Every sound you hear on his YouTube videos was made with his voice.  His Disney Side video was a sweet tribute to the very first time he visited a Disney park:

The Social Media All-Stars were a varied bunch: musicians, comedians, photographers, artists, crafters, and parents.  I loved how each one of them showed their Disney Side in their own unique way! Artist Mary Doodles was particularly impressive, creating a time lapse video of Disney Princesses and Villains coming to life through her pen:

Finally, it wouldn't be social media without pets!  The most famous of them all, Grumpy Cat, was on hand to make the Happiest Place on Earth a little bit grumpier....

... while Instagram star Trotter Pup showed everyone his back side, I mean his Disney Side

That's just a handful of the creative work of the Disney Side Social Media All-Stars!  You can see the full list and links to their work on this post from the Disney Parks Blog. And stay tuned for more of my trip report posts from the DisneySide event!
