There are lots of Facebook contests going on these days; here's one that might actually pay to enter, because you don't just have to rely on random luck: Hampton Inn is kicking off their weekly “Guess for Gear” contest on Facebook.
Every Thursday for the rest of the year, Hampton will post two clues on facebook.com/Hampton that answer a secret city. The first five correct respondents will receive a variety of free travel gear, from digital cameras, eReaders, luggage, tablets and more! The contest starts at 11:00AM EST (thank you, Hampton, for setting it to a time when us Pacific coasters can actually be prepared for!) so all you need to do is make sure you're online and ready at that time.
This week's prize is a Canon Powershot camera. I entered the contest but I need to wait till Hampton posts the winners' names on their Facebook wall tomorrow to see if I made it. Here's hoping those lucky leprechauns smiled my way today!!
