As far as I'm concerned, Halloween isn't complete without a Halloween party -- why should all the candy-strewn, decorated, dress-up fun be limited to just one night? That's why I'm delighted to hear that the Disneyland Resort will be hosting Mickey's Halloween Party for 13 whole nights! Halloween is my favorite holiday and The Disneyland Resort is my favorite theme park, so the combination of the two is almost too much fun to handle. Almost.
If you're the kind of person who likes to plan ahead and know everything in advance, you probably have a lot of questions about Mickey's Halloween Party. Where is it? When is it? What goes on? What should I wear? Here are answers to some of those questions to help you plan your Halloween vacation at the Disneyland Resort:
1) Where and what time does Mickey's Halloween Party take place?
Mickey's Halloween Party takes place at Disneyland Park, on 13 special dates: September 27, October 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, and of course, October 31, Halloween night.
Activities start at 7:00PM and end at midnight; however, guests with tickets to Mickey's Halloween Party can enter Disneyland Park as early as 4:00PM. They will be given Mickey's Halloween Party wristbands to distinguish them from regular park guests. Regular park guests will be asked to leave at the regular park closing time.
2) Are the attractions open during the party?
Most attractions are open throughout Mickey's Halloween Party -- but because tickets are limited and the event takes place after park hours, party-goers will probably enjoy shorter wait times!
3) What kinds of costumes are allowed?
One of the best things about Mickey's Halloween Party is that the whole family can come in costume (usually adults in costume are not allowed in the park)! Disney has specific costume guidelines (make sure you check them out before you plan your outfit). Basically, keep it family-friendly: no weapons, sharp object, adult themes, full facial masks, offensive images or offensive language. Face paint is allowed, and non-Disney characters are allowed.
4) Where do party guests go to eat?
Dinner is not included in the cost of a Mickey's Halloween Party ticket. Select restaurant and snack bars will be open during the party, so party-goers will find lots to eat. It might be a good idea to grab dinner before the party starts at 7:00PM, so you can spend all your time enjoying the festivities!
5) Can everyone go trick-or-treating?
Trick or Treat stations will be open throughout Disneyland Park, and partygoers of any age can enjoy the treats! There will be stations handing out candy and stations handing out healthy treats.
6) Does the event sell out?
This is the only scary part about Mickey's Halloween Party -- only a limited number of party tickets will be sold, so many party nights will sell out. If you're planning to go on a weekend night, make sure you get your Mickey's Halloween Party tickets well in advance! Another benefit of buying tickets ahead of time is cost: you can take advantage of a reduced Advanced Purchase Price on select nights (ticket prices at the door will be more expensive).
Mickey's Halloween Party is definitely an event with no tricks, just treats. Get your tickets now, and get set for some spooky fun!
