P&G / Family Dollar Olympic Games giveaway

The Procter & Gamble "Best Job" video clip on YouTube has been passed around the internet for weeks now, and each time I see it posted on Facebook or YouTube, it's always accompanied by comments like "Couldn't stop crying" or "Tears flowing" or "I dare you to stay dry-eyed" or something of the sort.  I avoided watching it for a while because I had an idea of what it was about, and I knew I'd be a  mess.



I finally watched it, of course, I started sobbing almost from the first second.  The video shows the sacrifices that moms of Olympic athletes have made for their kids -- getting them up early, driving them to practices and meets, bandaging their injuries, comforting them when they lose, rejoicing when they win, hiding their own stress for their kids' sake.  Every mother will relate to this video, even if your child is not an Olympic athlete, because whatever level your child is at, that's the kind of sacrifice a mom makes for her little athlete. And really, it's the kind of sacrifice all moms make for their kids in general.

In third grade, the Jones family settled in the basement of a Des Moines-area church.
