Every year, as summer approaches, gas prices always seem to rise with the thermometer! According to Gas Buddy, today's national average price for 87 octane gasoline (the lowest grade) is $3.66, which is actually down from almost $4 at the beginning of May, but it's still over $1 per gallon higher than last year! For us in the Bay Area, it's even worse; our gas prices are always higher than the national average (we're at about $3.90 per gallon at the cheapest gas stations but it's usually around $4).

Simply purchase two packs of specially-markedEnergizer® Ultimate Lithium or Energizer® Advanced Lithium batteries and you will get a $10 Prepaid Discover® Gas Rewards card mailed to you. It’s that easy!

Here's how to get your $10 Discover Gas Card:

1. Purchase two packs of specially-markedEnergizer® Ultimate Lithium or Energizer® Advanced Lithium batteries

2. Visit www.facebook.com/energizer

3. Click on tab for the Lithium Gas Reward and follow the instructions to input your battery pack codes.

4. A $10 Prepaid Discover® Gas Rewards card will then be mailed to you from the fulfillment company.

Easy-peasy! And if you'd rather purchase something other than gas, the Reward Card may be redeemed for any merchandise offered by a retailer that accepts Discover! You can redeem your codes until 1/31/12 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
