Tech-savvy parents, here's something to look forward to: Leapfrog will be selling a kid-friendly tablet starting summer of 2011! Finally, here's something that might actually make your child leave your iPad/Kindle/Nook alone. How cool is this? I haven't even seen this device yet, but already I'm loving the 5-inch color touchscreen, built-in camera/video and the backward compatibility with the entire Leapster Explorer library.
Here's the press release:
EMERYVILLE, Calif.—Feb. 14, 2011—LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:LF), today announced LeapPad Explorer™, a multifunctional learning tablet that ushers in the next generation of learning, digital reading and personal creativity for children ages four and up, available beginning summer 2011 in global English markets. LeapPad Explorer builds off the success of 2011’s Educational Toy of The Year Award winner, Leapster Explorer™, and is designed to change the way kids learn and play.
LeapPad Explorer is just like an adult tablet, but with endless fun experiences for kids, housed in a durable package. The new device combines the latest technology, educational curricula, and entertainment properties.
“LeapFrog created the first interactive learning experience with our original iconic LeapPad® Learning System in 1998. After 10 years of research into the most proficient ways for children to learn, we are doing it again with LeapPad Explorer,” said Craig Hendrickson, senior vice president and chief product officer for LeapFrog. “LeapPad Explorer is a multifunctional learning tablet that can ignite children’s imaginations and learning, but also handle a little rough and tumble play. This will be the must-have gift for all eager learners.”
MSRP is $99.99 (downloadable games will be priced at $7.99 and game cartridges at $24.99). I think it's time to put your kid's old Leapster 2 system up for sale on Craigslist or Ebay and start making room for this baby! Better start saving up .....

Can I make a suggestion? I think youve got something good here. But what if you happen to added a couple links to a page that backs up what youre saying? Or perhaps you could possibly give us something to take a look at, something that might join what youre saying to one thing tangible? Just a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there will not be much good supply like this.
