YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait Review and Giveaway
One of the best things about vacationing in the UK this summer was the quantity and quality of the yogurt available in the supermarkets there. We're HUGE yogurt fans, so we were blown away by the variety there, not just the wide range of flavors, but the number of yogurt parfait combinations. Yogurt with granola, yogurt with chocolate shavings, yogurt with cereal puffs, all packaged and ready to eat.... yum! It seems like yogurt is not just a breakfast food in the English culture; people regularly have yogurt for snacks and dessert. Not that the US is too far behind; we do have yogurt parfaits at McDonald's, Einsteins and other restaurants, but you don't see too many in the grocery.
Well, the folks at Breyers must have read my mind, because not two weeks after I got back, I received an invitation to try out their new YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait! Read below to see what I thought of it...
The Basics
The new Breyers YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait is a layered fruit, yogurt and parfait that's available in local grocery stores. They sell in packs of 4 for $2.89.
Here's more information about Breyers' latest yogurt product:
Treat yourself to our latest yogurt creation that's so wonderfully delicious it's hard to believe it's good for you too! Breyers® YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait™ is layers of delightful enjoyment...real fruit pieces tucked under a blanket of creamy vanilla yogurt, plus yummy granola you mix in for the ideal crunch! Perfect as a healthy snack or dessert, YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait™ is available in three classic fruit flavors: strawberry, blueberry and peach. Scrumptious, Healthy, Perfect!
The Bongga
Mmmm.... if I close my eyes while I'm eating this, it's easy to imagine that I'm back at the Asda Supermarket in Swindon, UK. The light, not-too-sweet peachy taste and crunchy granola are great! I love that it's so convenient -- you don't have to go to a restaurant to get it, just pick it up at the yogurt section in your grocery -- and since it's only 120 calories, it's a delicious and healthy treat. The kids love it too, and I predict we'll be enjoying YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait for dessert again really soon!
The Blah
The foil seal that separates the granola from the yogurt is difficult to remove; if you're not careful, you'll get granola crumbs flying all over the table. And surprise, surprise, we all loved it so much that everyone felt that each yogurt parfait cup should be bigger! Because we just can't get enough of it...
The Bottom Line
YoCrunch® Fruit Parfait is delicious and healthy and a great treat for snack or dessert.
